About the role
Immigrantio helps thousands of people find the right immigration lawyer at one of the most stressful moments of their lives. Organic search is how most of them discover us — and that makes SEO central to our growth. We're looking for an SEO Specialist to own that channel end to end, from technical health to content strategy to the local search presence behind every lawyer and firm profile on the platform.
You'll work closely with content, engineering, and product. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role: you'll set the roadmap, ship the work, and be accountable for the results.
What you'll do
- Own and grow non-branded organic traffic across the directory, practice-area pages, and the resources hub.
- Run technical SEO: crawlability, indexation, site speed, Core Web Vitals, structured data, and internal linking at scale across tens of thousands of programmatic pages.
- Build and maintain keyword strategy around immigration topics — visa categories, practice areas, and location-based intent.
- Partner with the content team on briefs, on-page optimization, and refreshing existing articles.
- Improve local SEO for lawyer and firm profiles so they rank in city- and state-level searches.
- Monitor rankings, traffic, and conversions; turn the data into a prioritized backlog and a clear monthly report.
- Keep us ahead of algorithm updates and shifts in search — including AI-driven search experiences.
What we're looking for
- 3+ years of hands-on SEO experience, ideally with a content-heavy site, marketplace, or directory.
- Strong technical foundation — you're comfortable with crawl tools, log files, structured data, and reading a site's rendered HTML.
- Fluency with Google Search Console, GA4, and an SEO suite such as Ahrefs or Semrush.
- A track record of moving non-branded organic traffic, with examples you can walk us through.
- Solid grasp of on-page and content SEO, and the judgment to prioritize impact over busywork.
- Clear written communication — you can explain trade-offs to engineers and non-specialists alike.
Nice to have
- Experience with programmatic / template-driven SEO at scale.
- Comfort with HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript — enough to spec changes precisely and verify them.
- Familiarity with Next.js or other modern web frameworks.
- Background in legal, professional-services, or another regulated industry.
Why Immigrantio
- Fully remote, full-time role with flexible hours.
- Direct ownership of a core growth channel — your work is visible and measurable.
- A mission that matters: helping immigrants navigate the legal system with confidence.
- A small, fast-moving team where good ideas ship quickly.
