How can we help?

Search the most common questions or browse by topic. Can't find what you need? Contact support.

Click Sign up and register with your email address. You can browse lawyers freely, but you will need an account to book a consultation, message a lawyer, and track your booking history.

Click Sign in, then Forgot password. We will email you a reset link that is valid for 1 hour.

You can request deletion by emailing [email protected] from the address on file. We remove your personal data within a reasonable period, except for records we are legally required to keep (for example, payment and tax records on completed transactions).

Find a lawyer through search or browsing, open their profile, and click Book consult. Pick an available time slot and a consultation type — video, phone, or in person — then pay the consultation fee securely through Stripe. The lawyer confirms the booking with the meeting details before your call. Some lawyers offer a free initial consultation, in which case there is no charge.

When you book, your card is only pre-authorized — not charged. The lawyer has 24 hours to accept the request. If they decline or do not respond in time, the pre-authorization is released back to your card automatically and you are free to book a different lawyer.

Yes. You can cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before the scheduled time from your dashboard, and any captured fee is refunded in full. You can also request a new time using the reschedule link in your booking confirmation. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the start time are subject to the lawyer's cancellation policy.

A consultation is an initial meeting — usually about 30 minutes — held over video, phone, or in person, depending on what the lawyer offers. The lawyer reviews your situation, explains your options, outlines likely timelines and costs, and answers your questions. Any decision to hire the lawyer for ongoing work is made directly between you and the lawyer afterward.

Open the For lawyers page and apply with your name, bar credentials, and practice details. Once you verify your email and we review your application, your profile goes live in the directory.

You can list on a free plan, or choose a paid plan — billed monthly or annually — for more visibility, more client inquiries, and extra promotional tools. Current plans and prices are shown on the For lawyers page. Immigrantio does not take any commission or cut from your consultation fees.

Consultation fees are collected from clients through Stripe and paid out to you. You keep the full consultation fee — Immigrantio does not take a per-consultation cut. Case fees and retainers for ongoing work are arranged and paid directly between you and your client.

Your account includes a public profile, a booking calendar where you set your weekly availability, secure client messaging, and a lightweight CRM to track inquiries, consultations, and active matters from one dashboard.

Every lawyer must provide an active bar number and state of admission, which we check against the issuing state bar. Lawyers without a verified, active license cannot list on Immigrantio.

Results are ranked by how well a lawyer matches your search — practice area, visa type, language, and location — and then by client rating and review count. Lawyers on a paid plan, and those running an active boost, may appear higher among otherwise comparable results.

Yes. After a completed consultation you can leave a review of that lawyer. Reviews are tied to your account — we do not allow anonymous reviews — and are published after a quick moderation check.

Only the consultation fee is paid through Immigrantio, and it is processed securely by Stripe. If you go on to hire a lawyer for your case, all further payments — retainer, milestones, or hourly fees — are arranged and paid directly with the lawyer's firm, not through Immigrantio.

We accept major credit and debit cards through Stripe. Depending on your device and browser, wallet options such as Apple Pay and Google Pay may also be available at checkout.

Your card is pre-authorized when you book and charged only once the lawyer confirms the consultation. If the lawyer declines the request or does not respond in time, the pre-authorization is released and you are not charged.

No. Immigrantio does not host case files or evidence. Documents are exchanged directly between you and your lawyer using their preferred secure method, such as a firm portal or encrypted email.

Yes. Messages sent through Immigrantio are private and visible only to you and the lawyer. We do not read your messages or use their content to train AI models.

Email [email protected] with the details. We investigate every report, refund or dispute charges where appropriate, and remove any lawyer who breaks our community guidelines.
